For the larger businesses out there, by this we mean a company handling well over 100 products and high stock levels, we would look to build the website on the Magento platform. Magento is an open source piece of software that offers high end e-commerce features whilst allowing 100% flexibility in terms of website design at an affordable price. Due to Magento being open source, thousands of plug ins are available to help with things like invoicing and direct bank payment methods. We only recommend this route for the larger sites as the content management features offered by Magento are a little more difficult to use than our own system. This is counteracted by the huge flexibility and scope to grow that Magento offers an online business.
